Alex Iwobi was an exciting prospect when he broke onto the scene but there is a growing danger that he may yet become the most recent Arsenal prospect to stagnate under Arsene Wenger’s guidance.

From that point of view, the Frenchman’s impending departure could well prove to be good news for the man valued at just £9m by Transfermarkt, as the new man in the Gunners hotseat may well have big plans to push the Nigerian international onto bigger and better things.

For the time being, however, there is little doubt that his career has stalled somewhat at present and as he celebrates his 22nd birthday, the Arsenal fans were in no mood to let him forget that fact.
