Sky Sports pundit David Prutton has revealed his latest Championship predictions for the upcoming fixtures this weekend, but he doesn’t believe things are about to get any easier for Leeds United following a disappointing run of results.
Despite winning six of their opening seven league games to sit top of the standings, the Whites have lost four of their last five matches – including three on the spin – to drop them down to sixth, with the latest of those coming last weekend when they were beaten 1-0 by Reading at Elland Road last weekend.
Pablo Hernandez missed the opportunity to secure a point against the Royals by missing a late penalty and while Whites boss Thomas Christiansen will be keen to pick up a positive result on Saturday, that could be a tough ask against an in-form Robins side.
Lee Johnson’s men lie in fourth having been beaten in just one of their 12 Championship fixtures this term, although they were held to a goalless draw against lowly Burton Albion at Ashton Gate last time out.
With the goals drying up for Leeds in recent weeks – they have failed to score in three of their last five games – Prutton doesn’t see their poor run stopping in the West Country.

The 36-year-old said: “It’s all going wrong for Leeds. For a brief period they were flying high and it looked like they could storm the league and run away with it, but they’ve lost their last three on the spin and don’t really look like scoring.
“Bristol City, meanwhile, are flying high and were only denied victory last week by a fantastic defensive display by Burton. I’ve got to go for a home win here, though.”
If Leeds United are to stay in the promotion race, Christiansen will know that he needs to turn his team’s fortunes around sooner rather than later – starting at Ashton Gate on Saturday.
